Choice of subject matter took its time to get into my blood, taking years of pulling from art history and other artist’s tricks before a footing in my own percentage of theatre arrived. Up until i found my primary subject (Theo) i was quite frankly clutching at narrative straws. Things were too superficial and i really needed to find an individual reality of why the discipline of drawing pushed me in certain ways by trying to provide this feasible result. As a practising artist the need for me to feel tension in this decision, was really the only way forward with things. I was always on the hunt for Theo, a visual formula that could establish a past, a present and a future to things. Affection was removed from areas in my upbringing, and i had to find an instrument of self constructed institute to help link the gaps.. fill in the holes.
